Overview
The Fireye EP381 is a microprocessor-based programmer module designed for use with the FLAME-MONITOR Burner Management Control System. As the central component of the system, it provides essential start-up programming, safe-start checks, and flame monitoring supervision for industrial and commercial burners. It is designed with a plug-in architecture for easy installation and includes integrated history storage for tracking burner cycles, system hours, and lockout events.
Features
- Selectable purge timing with a 15-second minimum.
- Configurable trial for ignition (TFI) periods of 5 and 10 seconds.
- Selectable recycle or non-recycle operation for running interlocks.
- Constant monitoring of limit, air flow, and fuel pressure switches through a running interlock circuit.
- Integrated RJ45 connector for interfacing with alpha-numeric displays like the ED510.
- Microprocessor-based memory for storing comprehensive lockout and system history.
- Backward compatibility with ED5001 displays and E500 communication interfaces.
Specifications
- Model: EP381
- Supply Voltage: Used with E110/E100 chassis (typically 120VAC or 230VAC depending on chassis).
- Purge Timing: 15 seconds (minimum), selectable.
- Pilot Trial for Ignition (PTFI): 10 seconds.
- Main Trial for Ignition (MTFI): 10 or 15 seconds.
- Flame Failure Response Time (FFRT): 4 seconds maximum.
- Modulation: None (No firing rate motor circuit provided).
- Weight: Approximately 0.70 lbs.
Applications
The EP381 programmer is primarily used in combustion environments where basic start-up programming and flame supervision are required without the need for complex firing rate modulation. It is compatible with Fireye EB700 and E110 chassis and is commonly employed in boilers, furnaces, and other industrial heating systems to ensure safe sequence control and monitoring of gaseous or oil-fired burners.
