Overview
The Fireye MEP536 is a non-recycle programmer module designed for use with the Fireye Modular MicroM flame safeguard control system. It is engineered to provide automatic ignition and continuous flame monitoring for commercial and industrial burner applications. The MEP536 is functionally similar to the MEP560 but is specifically modified to operate without a pilot stabilization period and is designed not to lock out if the air flow switch opens during the purge cycle. This plug-in module utilizes microprocessor-based technology to manage burner sequencing with high precision, replacing traditional discrete timing components.
Features
- Plug-in design allows for easy installation and replacement within MicroM chassis.
- 10-second Main Trial for Ignition (MTFI) provides a controlled and reliable burner startup.
- Integrated run-check switch facilitates easier testing of pilot size and stabilization.
- On-board dipswitches allow for selectable configuration of purge timing (7, 30, 60, or 90 seconds), post-purge, and recycle/non-recycle operation.
- Smart diagnostic LEDs provide real-time operating status and coded sequences for simplified troubleshooting during lockout conditions.
- Enhanced safety logic ensures the system will not lockout on air flow open during the purge period.
- Continuous flame supervision throughout the operating cycle with automatic safety lockout upon flame failure.

Applications
The Fireye MEP536 is used in conjunction with Fireye MEC120 or MEC230 Modular MicroM chassis to manage gas or oil-fired burners in industrial and commercial heating systems. It is ideal for applications requiring a 10-second ignition trial and where air flow fluctuations during purge should not trigger a system lockout. Common applications include boiler controls, process heaters, and other large-scale combustion equipment where reliable, modular flame safeguard protection is essential.
