Overview
The Siemens VGD40.150 is a high-capacity, DN150 (6-inch) double gas valve body designed for integration into gas trains for commercial or industrial burners. Engineered as a normally closed, two-way safety shut-off valve, it consists of two valves in series, each featuring a double-seat design to achieve exceptionally high flow rates. When paired with Siemens SKP series electro-hydraulic actuators, the VGD40.150 provides essential safety shut-off functions, and depending on the actuator used, it can also perform gas pressure regulation or air-gas ratio control. Its compact modular design reduces the overall size and weight of the gas train by consolidating multiple functions into a single unit.
Features
- Double-seat configuration for each safety shut-off valve to ensure high flow capacity
- Integrated stainless steel mesh strainer (0.9 mm) at the inlet to protect seats and downstream components from debris
- Patented seat construction with individual closing springs for reliable shut-off and high close-off pressure ratings
- Dual stem guides provide precise disc alignment for consistent, tight shut-off performance
- Modular design allows for the attachment of various pressure switches or valve proving systems
- Valves open slowly and close rapidly (less than 1 second) when used with SKP actuators
