Overview
The Siemens VGD40.125 is a high-capacity, 5-inch (DN125) flanged double gas valve designed for use in gas trains for commercial and industrial burners. This modular valve body consists of two safety shut-off valves in series, providing a critical safety function by ensuring reliable gas flow control and shut-off. It is engineered to be combined with Siemens SKP series electro-hydraulic actuators, which can provide additional functions such as pressure regulation or air-gas ratio control, simplifying the gas train design.
Features
- Dual safety shut-off valves in a single compact body for space-saving installation
- Double seat construction in each valve to achieve high flow rates with minimal pressure drop
- Patented seat design with individual closing springs for each seat to ensure tight shut-off
- Integrated stainless steel mesh strainer with 0.9 mm mesh size to protect downstream components
- Modular design allows for the mounting or replacement of actuators while the valve is under pressure
- Built-in 1/4 inch NPT pressure taps on the inlet, outlet, and between valves for easy testing
- Durable die-cast aluminum body construction suitable for a wide range of gas types
