Overview
The Fireye UV1A12 is a miniature, non-self-checking ultraviolet (UV) flame scanner designed for industrial burner management and flame safeguard applications. It detects ultraviolet radiation emitted by fossil fuel flames, such as natural gas and No. 2 oil, while remaining “solar-blind” to infrared radiation from hot refractory surfaces. This scanner is engineered to provide rapid and dependable flame verification, ensuring safe burner ignition and continuous monitoring in demanding heating environments.
Features
- Ultraviolet (UV) sensing technology for accurate, interference-resistant flame detection.
- Compact, miniature design ideal for space-constrained burner fronts.
- Non-self-checking operation suitable for burners that cycle at least once every 24 hours.
- Solar-blind sensor eliminates interference from infrared radiation emitted by hot surfaces.
- Rugged construction with a quartz UV tube and stainless steel housing.
- Rapid response time to ensure safe pilot and main flame authentication.
