Overview
The Siemens QRA55.E17 is a self-checking ultraviolet (UV) flame detector designed for the supervision of gas or oil flames and for ignition spark proving in industrial burner systems. Engineered for continuous operation (more than 24 hours without interruption), this high-precision sensor utilizes a swivelling shutter and integrated stepper motor to perform periodic self-tests of the UV cell. It is particularly suited for high-demand applications where reliable flame detection is critical for safety, often used in conjunction with Siemens LGK16 or LGI16 burner controls.
