Overview
The Fireye MBCE-230UV-1 is a flame sensor module designed to provide visual indication and electrical outputs that signal the presence of a flame in a combustion chamber. Operating on 230 VAC, this single-channel module uses ultraviolet (UV) sensing technology to monitor flames independently or as a component within a larger burner management system. It is specifically designed for non-permanent operation, requiring the burner to be recycled at least once every 24 hours. Please note that this specific model is CE certified and is not for sale or use in the United States.
Features
- UV flame detection technology for reliable sensing in gas and light oil applications.
- Flame ON/OFF LED indicator providing immediate visual status of flame presence.
- 4-20mA analog output for direct reading and monitoring of flame signal strength.
- Flame pull-in threshold adjustment for fine-tuning based on application needs.
- Versatile mounting options including panel surface or DIN-rail mounting.
- Compatible with Fireye UV scanners such as the UV90L and UV1AL.
- Uses a standard CE certified 11-pin relay base for easy installation and replacement.

Applications
The MBCE-230UV-1 is ideally suited for flame detection in natural gas applications, though it can also be utilized for propane and light fuel oil systems. It is commonly used in industrial and commercial combustion environments as part of a flame supervision system. The module must be used with a compatible stand-alone wiring base (such as the 60-2886) and is designed for intermittent operation where the burner is cycled daily.
