Overview
The Johnson Controls M9208-GGA-2 is a proportional electric spring-return direct-coupled actuator designed to control dampers in HVAC systems. Operating on 24 VAC/VDC power, it provides precise modulation for critical airflow control in commercial and institutional applications. It features a mechanical spring-return system that ensures automatic fail-safe repositioning during a power loss, as well as a microprocessor-controlled brushless DC motor with electronic stall detection. It comes equipped with a 120-inch plenum-rated cable and integral 3/8-inch flexible metal conduit connectors for simplified installation.
Features
- 70 lb-in (8 N-m) running and spring-return torque for dependable fail-safe positioning
- Direct-coupled design eliminates the need for complex damper linkages
- Microprocessor-controlled brushless DC motor ensures constant speed independent of torque
- Electronic stall detection monitors motor rotation to prevent damage without mechanical end switches
- Reversible mounting allows for easy adaptation to change the control direction
- Locking manual override with auto release and convenient crank storage
- Durable NEMA 2 (IP54) double-insulated construction
