Overview
The Fireye 95UVS2-1CG is a microprocessor-based, integrated ultraviolet (UV) flame scanner designed for industrial burner management and flame safeguard applications. As part of the InSight I series, this “Expanded” Model S2 combines a flame detector and amplifier into a single unit, eliminating the need for a remote flame amplifier. It is engineered to detect ultraviolet radiation in the 295 to 320 nanometer range, making it ideal for gas and light oil flames. The “CG” designation indicates it comes equipped with a 10-foot captive cable and gland for easy electrical connection.
Features
- Advanced UV sensor technology providing high sensitivity for gas flame monitoring.
- Integrated flame relay with adjustable ON/OFF thresholds for localized control.
- Electronic self-checking system that removes the need for a mechanical shutter.
- AutoTune function (S2 model) for automatic optimization of flame flicker frequency and gain.
- Eight-character alphanumeric LED display and four-button keypad for on-site parameter viewing and setpoint selection.
- Multiple programming files (up to four) to store unique setpoints for different fuels or firing rates.
- Remote communication capability for integration with PC-based monitoring software.

Applications
The 95UVS2-1CG is specifically optimized for gas-fired systems and light oil applications where reliable flame discrimination is critical. It is commonly used in larger multi-burner boilers, process furnaces, power generation units, and industrial ovens. Its ability to distinguish between a target flame and background radiation or adjacent burners makes it a standard choice for petrochemical, pulp and paper, and metal processing facilities requiring high-discrimination flame monitoring.
