Overview

The Fireye 55UV5-1007 is a self-checking ultraviolet (UV) flame scanner designed for continuous-fired burner applications. It monitors fossil fuel flames, such as natural gas and propane, and provides a signal to a compatible flame safeguard control to indicate the presence or absence of a flame. This model features an internal mechanical shutter that periodically blocks the UV tube to test the electronics and the sensor, ensuring the system can detect a flame failure even during long periods of continuous operation.
