Overview

The Fireye 45RM4-1001CEX is a discontinued, high-performance infrared (IR) self-checking flame scanner designed for industrial burner management and flame safeguard applications. This specific model features a Cenelec EExd IIC explosion-proof housing, making it suitable for hazardous environments. It is engineered to detect the presence or absence of flames by monitoring specific flame flicker frequencies, providing high discrimination in multi-burner environments. While the 45RM4 series has been withdrawn from production, it is officially replaced by the Fireye InSight II Type 95DSS3-1CEX integrated scanner.

Applications

Due to its explosion-proof rating, it is ideal for petrochemical plants, refineries, and power generation facilities where hazardous gases or dusts may be present. For modern installations or replacements, the 95DSS3-1CEX is recommended as it integrates the scanner and amplifier into a single unit.
