Overview
The Magnatrol 18A45 Solenoid Valve (G18A45SC-ACBW) is a two-way, full port valve constructed from bronze for general-purpose fluid control. It features Normally Closed (N/C) operation, meaning it opens when the coil is energized (Energize to Open) and closes when power is removed. This valve is designed as an internal pilot-operated or direct-acting valve that requires no differential pressure to open, making it suitable for operation from zero to its maximum differential pressure. It utilizes a packless construction for dependable service.
Features
- Operation: Normally Closed (N/C), opening upon coil energization.
- Port Type: Full Port, providing a straight-thru design for maximum flow.
- Construction: Cast Bronze body with Globe Pattern and NPT ends.
- Coil: Encapsulated Class B coil is standard (Class H available) and designed for continuous duty with both AC and DC voltages.
- Pressure Operation: No differential pressure is required to open the valve.
- Installation: Must be mounted in a horizontal pipe with the solenoid enclosure positioned vertically and on top.
