116S24 Magnatrol Solenoid Valve (G116S24SC-ACTS) 1″npt N/C 120V 0/50# STEAM
Overview
The Magnatrol G116S24SC-ACTS (or obsolete/earlier model 116S24) is a two-way, full port, bronze solenoid valve primarily designed for the efficient control of steam flow. It features a Normally Closed (N/C) operation, meaning it opens when the coil is energized (Energize to Open) and closes when power is removed (de-energized). This internal pilot-operated valve operates from zero up to its maximum differential pressure, requiring no differential pressure to open. It is constructed to be dependable and packless.
Features
– Operation: Normally Closed (N/C), opening upon coil energization.
– Construction: Cast Bronze body with Globe Pattern and NPT ends, and a packless design.
– Components: Internal parts include a 430 Stainless Steel plunger, 303 Stainless Steel pilot valve, 304 Stainless Steel bonnet tube, and Inconel spring.
– Coil: Encapsulated Class H coil is designed for continuous duty with all AC and DC voltages, featuring 18-inch wire leads.
– Full Port: Provides a straight-thru design for maximum flow.
– Pressure Operation: Operates from zero to maximum differential pressure, requiring no differential pressure to open.
– Installation: Must be mounted in a horizontal pipe with the solenoid enclosure positioned vertically on top.
