Overview
The Johnson Controls V50AB-1C is a self-operated, temperature-actuated modulating valve designed to regulate the flow of gas on natural or LP gas-fired outdoor crop dryers. It functions autonomously without the need for external electrical power or wiring, using a vapor pressure sensing element to modulate gas supply to the main burner in response to temperature changes at the sensing bulb, thereby maintaining a consistent air drying temperature.
Features
- Mechanical Autonomy: Operates as a self-contained temperature regulator, eliminating the need for electrical actuators or external wiring.
- Fast, Uniform Response: Designed with a simplified mechanism ensuring the free movement of internal components for precise modulation.
- Simple Setpoint Calibration: Features an integrated “T” handle range screw on top of the spring housing for straightforward on-the-fly adjustments.
- Built for Exposed Conditions: Constructed with a durable brass body and robust high-temperature diaphragms suitable for outdoor environments.
- Internal Bypass Capability: Features a threaded hole in the internal web, allowing for the installation of field-selectable bypass orifices to maintain a minimum flame when the close-off point is reached.
Specifications
- Valve Size: 1/2 inch
- Connection Type: FNPT (Female National Pipe Thread)
- Temperature Range: 90°F to 210°F (32°C to 99°C)
- Maximum Line Working Pressure: 30 psig (207 kPa)
