Overview
The Johnson Controls V47AC-12C is a temperature-actuated modulating water regulating valve designed for heating applications in commercial HVAC and industrial systems. It automatically regulates the flow of water or glycol mixtures to maintain a desired temperature at the sensing bulb, opening gradually as the temperature at the bulb increases. It features a pressure-balanced design that keeps the setpoint independent of fluctuations in inlet water pressure while protecting the range spring from the media.
Features
- Pressure-balanced design safeguards the valve against gradual or sudden water pressure changes
- Internal mechanism seals water away from the range spring, guides, and sliding parts to prevent sedimentation and corrosion
- Constructed with a durable brass body and only five corrosion-resistant metal parts in contact with water
- Designed to minimize chatter and water hammer during operation
- Easy manual flushing and simple in-line disassembly for straightforward repair and part replacement
- Equipped with an internal bypass option to ensure continuous minimum flow when required
