V46AB-25C Johnson Controls Water Regulating Valve

Overview

The Johnson Controls V46AB-25C is a commercial-grade, direct-acting, pressure-actuated water-regulating valve designed to automatically modulate the flow of water or glycol solutions in response to pressure changes. This self-contained, non-electric valve is primarily utilized to regulate refrigerant head pressure in water-cooled condensers, ensuring optimal temperature control while preventing overheating and excessive water consumption.

Features

• Direct-acting operation where the valve opens on a pressure increase to modulate flow smoothly.
• Robust construction with no close-fitting or sliding parts in water passages, minimizing chatter, water hammer, and performance issues in less-than-ideal water conditions.
• Corrosion-resistant brass body and wetted components that promote a longer operating life.
• Take-apart design allows the interior of the valve to be serviced or disassembled without detaching it from the inline pipe connection or pumping down the system.
• Accessible range spring allows for easy manual flushing or adjustments directly on-site.
• Pressure-balanced configuration ensures the valve maintains a consistent setpoint against sudden or gradual water pressure fluctuations.
