Overview
The Siemens QRB3 is a photo-resistive flame detector designed for the supervision of yellow-burning oil flames in the visible light spectrum. It is primarily used in conjunction with burner controls for intermittent operation in small to medium-capacity burners. The sensor utilizes a photo-resistor that changes resistance based on light intensity, allowing it to accurately detect the presence of a flame during the combustion process.
