Overview
The Johnson Controls NSB8MHC240-0 is an NS8000 Series network wall sensor designed to integrate seamlessly with Metasys, Facility Explorer, and Smart Equipment systems. It functions as an all-in-one device to monitor environmental conditions in commercial spaces, helping to reduce wall clutter and installation costs.
Features
It simultaneously monitors zone temperature, 3% relative humidity, and CO2 levels while utilizing an onboard passive infrared (PIR) occupancy sensor to detect motion. The unit includes a built-in LCD fixed segment display for local readouts, a white housing with the JCI logo, and communicates over the Sensor/Actuator (SA) bus.
Specifications
The sensor features a CO2 measurement range of 0–2000 ppm, 3% RH humidity accuracy, a fixed segment LCD display type, BACnet MS/TP protocol compatibility, screw terminals and modular jacks for wiring, and a white enclosure color.
Applications
It is ideal for demand-controlled ventilation (DCV), indoor air quality (IAQ) monitoring, and HVAC zone control. It is commonly used to optimize energy savings in high-occupancy environments such as schools, offices, dormitories, hospitals, and hotels.
