Overview
The Johnson Controls NSB8BTN041-0 is an NS8000 Series network zone temperature sensor designed to communicate directly with building automation systems. This model features a white enclosure with no display, no logo, and no local controls, providing a discreet design that prevents tampering. It transmits precise zone temperature data to a central controller over the Sensor/Actuator (SA) bus.
Features
- Discreet design with no display, no setpoint adjustments, and no logo
- Communicates via BACnet MS/TP protocol over the Sensor/Actuator (SA) bus
- Seamlessly compatible with Metasys field controllers, Facility Explorer programmable controllers, Verasys, and Smart Equipment
- Serialized sensor allowing retrieval of factory calibration certificates
Specifications
- Supply Voltage: 9.8 VDC to 16.5 VDC (15 VDC nominal from SA bus)
- Current Draw: 3 mA maximum base current draw
- Sensed Parameters: Temperature only (no CO2, humidity, or occupancy sensing)
- Temperature Range: 32 to 104 degrees Fahrenheit (0 to 40 degrees Celsius)
- Temperature Accuracy: Plus or minus 1 degree Fahrenheit (Plus or minus 0.6 degrees Celsius)
- Mounting: Vertical switch box or surface mount
- Terminations: Modular jack and screw terminal block
Applications
- Commercial HVAC zone temperature monitoring where local tenant adjustment is restricted
- Centralized environmental control in offices, schools, hospitals, and hotels
- Space temperature sensing for Metasys and Facility Explorer automation networks
