Overview
The Johnson Controls CSDSC-C50100L2 is a self-calibrating, clamp-on current switch designed to provide reliable verification of electrical equipment operation. It eliminates the need for live calibration by utilizing a single-turn dial to select motor full load amps, which significantly reduces installation time and eliminates the need for Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required by OSHA when working with a live panel.
Features
- Self-calibrating mechanism using a single-turn dial for selecting full load amps.
- Pre-set capabilities allow installation on de-energized panels for enhanced safety.
- Integrated normally open (N.O.) command relay.
- LED indication for clear switch status monitoring.
- Split-core (clamp-on) design for easy deployment around existing wiring.
Specifications
- Amperage Range: Up to 100 A maximum current.
- Minimum Trip Setpoint: 0.50 A.
- Status Output Rating: Normally Open, 1.0 A at 30 VAC/VDC.
- Command Relay Contact Rating: N.O. 10 A at 125 VAC.
- Command Relay Actuation Coil: 24 VAC/VDC, 15 mA.
- Wire Size Capacity: 14 to 24 AWG for status output terminals.
- Isolation Voltage: 600 VAC rms (UL listed), 300 VAC rms (CE).
- Approvals: UL Listed (File E493157), CE Mark.
Applications
- Proof of operation and status monitoring for electrical loads such as fans and pumps.
- Automation systems requiring integrated motor starting/stopping control alongside current sensing.
- Non-intrusive current detection in commercial and industrial HVAC building automation systems.
