Overview
The Johnson Controls CSDECM-ADJ3 is an adjustable current switch designed for Electronically Commutated Motors (ECMs) and other electrical loads. It provides reliable go/no-go run detection by monitoring true operating current rather than voltage, preventing false readings caused by an ECM’s idle current. This switch features an adjustable threshold range of 0.25 A to 3 A and includes an integrated normally open (N.O.) command relay with a 12 VDC coil.
Features
- Designed specifically for Electronically Commutated Motors (ECMs) to avoid false status readings during idle cycles.
- Features an adjustable trip point range from 0.25 to 3 Amps via a single-turn dial.
- Built-in normally open (N.O.) command relay adds 10 A at 125 VAC of switching capability.
- Self-powered induced current design eliminates the need for an external sensor power supply.
- Split-core housing allows for simple installation on existing wiring without disconnecting cables.
Specifications
- Amperage Range: Adjustable from 0.25 A to 3 A setpoint, 200 A maximum operational continuous current.
- Status Output Rating: Solid-state FET, 1.0 A at 30 VAC/VDC.
- Relay Contact Rating: Normally Open (N.O.), 10 A at 125 VAC.
- Relay Coil Voltage: 12 VDC.
- Frequency Range: 50/60 Hz.
