Overview
The Johnson Controls WRZ-MHN0100-2 is a wireless room temperature and humidity sensor designed for indoor, intra-building applications. It operates on the 2.4 GHz ISM band and is compatible with the ZFR183x wireless system, eliminating the need for communication wiring inside walls by transmitting data directly to an associated receiver or router.
Features
- Onboard passive infrared (PIR) occupancy sensor to monitor area movement.
- Manual occupancy override button to request zone comfort adjustments.
- Built-in signal strength testing for quick and easy visual indication of RF link quality during installation.
- Dual options for quick installation using screws or the included double-sided adhesive tape.
- Status LEDs indicating battery level and wireless transmission signal strength.
Specifications
- Sensed Variables: Room temperature and relative humidity (RH).
- Power Requirements: 3 VDC provided by two included 1.5 VDC AA alkaline batteries.
- Wireless Technology: Direct-sequence, spread-spectrum (DSSS) RF operating on the 2.4 GHz ISM band.
- Transmission Power: 10 mW maximum.
- Transmission Range: Up to 100 ft (30 m) practical average indoor line-of-sight.
- Accuracy: Temperature accuracy of +/-1.0°F (0.6°C) between 55°F to 85°F; Humidity accuracy of +/-3% RH across 20% to 80% RH.
- Housing: NEMA 1 white plastic enclosure without a display screen.
Applications
- Designed for single-zone space temperature and humidity monitoring in commercial facilities.
- Ideal for high-energy usage environments such as schools, dormitories, offices, and hospitals to achieve up to 30% energy savings based on occupancy status.
- Simplifies retrofits and building adjustments where traditional hardwired network sensors are difficult or expensive to install.
