Overview
The Johnson Controls V47AC-6C is a temperature-actuated modulating water regulating valve designed to control the flow of water or glycol to maintain a desired temperature. It operates with a direct-acting mechanism where the valve action opens on a temperature increase at the sensing bulb.
Features
- No close-fitting sliding parts in water passages to prevent sedimentation
- Range spring does not come into contact with the cooling water
- Easy manual flushing possible without changing the valve adjustment
- Pressure-balanced design minimizes chatter and water hammer
Specifications
- Connection Size: 3/4 inch NPT
- Temperature Range: 75°F to 135°F cross-ambient point range
- Sensing Bulb: 11/16 inch diameter, 10 inches long (Style 4) with a 6-foot armored capillary
- Maximum Supply Water Pressure: 150 psig
- Maximum Water Temperature: 170°F
Applications
Widely used on heat exchangers to maintain optimum operating temperatures for internal combustion engines, air compressors, and hydraulic oil systems. It is also used for temperature control in swimming pools and for regulating paint temperatures on industrial printing machines.
