Overview
The Johnson Controls T-5800-3 is a dual-input, proportional-only pneumatic receiver controller designed for precise control in commercial and industrial HVAC building automation systems. It processes two pneumatic input signals from remote transmitters to generate a single proportional control output, utilizing a master input to readjust the set point according to a predetermined schedule.
Features
- Direct or reverse acting operation with direct or reverse readjustment, field selectable
- Face-mounted adjustments for gain, local set point, ratio, and master input balance
- Integrated hypodermic needle test points for convenient pressure checks
- Clear protective cover to prevent tampering and dust accumulation
- Snap-on air connectors with barbed fittings for 1/4 inch O.D. polytubing
Specifications
- Supply Pressure: 18 to 22 psig (nominal 20 psig)
- Adjustable Proportional Gain: 0.5:1 to 15:1 (factory default 10:1)
- Ratio Range: Variable from 0.1:1 to 2.5:1 (jumper 1:1) or 0.1:1 to 6:1 (jumper 3:1)
- Set Point: Factory set local at 9 psig, field-selectable local or remote
- Air Consumption: 60 scim; Output Capacity: 1000 scim
- Operating Temperature Limits: 50 to 120 degrees Fahrenheit (10 to 49 degrees Celsius)
Applications
- Pneumatic building automation systems requiring multi-input pneumatic control strategies
- Controlling environmental variables including discharge air temperature, humidity, water temperature, and pressure
- Common control sequences such as mixed air control, dual-duct systems, and reset control sequences
