Overview
The Johnson Controls NS-DTN7083-0 is a network-ready discharge air temperature sensor designed to function directly with digital controllers in commercial HVAC and building automation systems. It monitors duct temperature, typically at the discharge of a Variable Air Volume (VAV) box, and transmits data to the controller Sensor Actuator (SA) Bus.
Features
- 8-inch temperature probe for accurate immersion-style discharge air measurement.
- 10-foot plenum-rated wiring lead with color-coded, stripped, and tinned wires for easy connection.
- DIP switch configuration enables easy network address assignment for multi-sensor deployments.
- Durable metal enclosure with a secure screw terminal block for robust field wiring.
Specifications
- Supply Voltage: 9.8 to 16.5 VDC (15 VDC nominal from SA bus).
- Current Consumption: 12 mA maximum.
- Temperature Sensor Type: Local 1k Ohm platinum resistance temperature detector (RTD).
- Operating Temperature Range: 14°F to 140°F (-10°C to 60°C).
- Accuracy: Plus or minus 1.0°F (0.6°C).
- Dimensions: 3 x 3 x 2 inch enclosure with an 8-inch probe.
- Compliance: BACnet International Listed (B-SS), UL Listed, FCC Compliant, CE Mark.
Applications
- Discharge air temperature sensing in air handling units (AHUs) and fan coil units.
- Variable Air Volume (VAV) and constant volume system monitoring.
- Commercial building automation and Direct Digital Control (DDC) loops.
- HVAC system optimization and energy management.
