Overview
The Johnson Controls MS-IOM2711-0 is a 6-point Input/Output Module (IOM) designed to expand the point capacity within a Metasys building automation system. It enables monitoring and precise control over a wide variety of commercial HVAC equipment by interfacing directly with network engines and field controllers.
Features
- Flexible deployment with the ability to reside on either the Field Controller (FC) Bus or Sensor/Actuator (SA) Bus
- Support for standard BACnet MS/TP protocol ensures seamless interoperability with third-party systems
- Pluggable terminal blocks for power and communication lines expedite field installation and troubleshooting
- Auto-tuned control loops reduce commissioning time and minimize physical wear on mechanical equipment
Specifications
- Point Count: 6 points total, consisting of 2 Universal Inputs, 2 Universal Outputs, and 2 Relay Outputs (SPDT configuration)
- Power Supply: 24 VAC
- Communication Protocol: RS-485 BACnet Master-Slave/Token-Passing (MS/TP)
- Operating Temperature Range: 32°F to 122°F (0°C to 50°C)
- Ambient Humidity Range: 10% to 90% RH, non-condensing
Applications
- Used on the SA Bus to expand the hardware input and output point count of Field Equipment Controllers (FEC), Advanced Application Field Equipment Controllers (FAC), and VAV Modular Assemblies (VMA)
- Deployed on the FC Bus as an I/O point multiplexor to support supervisory data sharing and monitoring from Network Automation Engines (NAE) and Network Control Engines (NCE)
- Integrated into building automation networks for automated control of environmental systems, actuators, sensors, and electrical loads
