Overview
The Johnson Controls LC-VEC100-0 Verasys Equipment Controller (VEC) is a plug-and-play, configurable digital controller designed to monitor and control non-Smart HVAC rooftop units (RTUs), including Variable Air Volume (VAV) and Changeover Bypass (COBP) systems. Operating on an RS-485 BACnet MS/TP bus as a BACnet Advanced Application Controller (B-AAC), it features an integral real-time clock for standalone scheduling and seamlessly integrates into Verasys building automation networks.
Features
- Supports up to 2 stages of heating and 4 stages of cooling out-of-the-box, with additional applications available for modulated control and heat pumps.
- Plug-and-play functionality that automatically self-configures points, alarms, and trends within the Verasys system.
- Automated sensor integration that adapts sequences immediately upon connecting analog, return air, or CO2 sensors.
- Real-time alarm generation for supply air temperature deviations, fan status mismatch, and runtime limits.
- Standalone capabilities driven by an onboard real-time clock for scheduling, calendar functions, and trending even when offline from the network.
