The Honeywell C7061A1053 Ultraviolet Flame Sensor (commonly called the Purple Peeper) is a self-checking UV flame detector designed for safe monitoring of burners firing gas, oil, or other fuels. Operating on 120 VAC, this sensor provides continuous dynamic self-check functionality when used with R7861 Dynamic Self-Check Amplifiers, ensuring reliable flame safeguard performance. The Honeywell C7061A1053 UV Flame Detector is designed for use with Honeywell 7800 Series Burner Controls, providing reliable flame monitoring for commercial and industrial burners. This flame sensor detects ultraviolet radiation emitted by gas or oil flames to ensure safe operation and automatic shutdown in case of flame failure.

Built for industrial applications, the C7061A1053 features a 1-inch mounting, 96-inch color-coded lead wires for easy installation, and a rugged NEMA 4 enclosure for protection in harsh environments. It offers a wide -40°F to 175°F ambient temperature rating, making it suitable for demanding combustion systems.

Features

• Oscillating shutter interrupts ultraviolet radiation reaching the UV sensor to provide the UV sensor tube checking function.
• Can be mounted horizontally, vertically or at any angle in between.
• The detector requires faceplate alignment and has integral locating reference points to assure proper operation of the shutter mechanism.
